It is super important to do things to help your wellbeing because it can help both your physical and mental health. Having a good wellbeing can make your mental health a lot better and make you more positive. As a person who suffers from mental health, I find using these positive steps really good for my wellbeing…

Being kind to yourself…

Being kind to yourself creates a positive mindset and helps boost your confidence massively. Telling yourself something good about yourself makes you feel so good and boosts your self esteem. We should do this because we can get rid of the negative thoughts. I would advise just looking in the mirror and telling yourself something good that you like the look of everyday. This will help you with your self-esteem too.

Positive wellbeing and being kind to yourself

Exercise Regularly…

It is super important to exercise regularly for your health and wellbeing. This is because exercising reduces your mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. It also helps you loose weight, which will make you feel good about yourself! Even if you workout for 10 minutes each day, it is really good for you because it makes you feel good and look good!

Finding hobbies…

Finding something you enjoy is super fun to do! Think to yourself… “What do I like doing?” “What are my interests?” “What sounds fun?” Once assessing all the wonderful things there are to do, get on with it and have fun because you deserve a positive wellbeing! Having hobbies is really important as it allows you to take a break from other personal things and helps you have fun.

The things I like to do are:

  • Singing, dancing, acting
  • drawing or painting
  • meeting friends
  • making tiktoks
  • creating blog posts

and so much more!…

Act of kindness…

When taking an action of kindness and helping others, this makes the person very happy because you have supported them with something. Not only does it help them, it helps you! This is because it makes you feel positive that you have made someones day good. Helping others is really good for your wellbeing even if its the slightest thing such as bringing the shopping in, checking up on someone, tell them you love them etc. Even the littlest of things can make someones day much better.

Self-care…

Allowing yourself to have relaxation time is really important to help your wellbeing. This is because if you take time to relax do self-care, it makes you feel good about yourself, lowers your anxiety and is super fun to do! This can include things such as taking a bath, using a face mask, painting your nails and so on. I really like doing this as it allows me to take time away from my stresses and do something calming.

Sleep…

To help your wellbeing, you must make sure you get enough sleep to function. If you are not getting enough sleep, it can affect your physical health and mental health. Having a little amount of sleep will mean you are at higher risk of getting severe medical conditions which will then affect your health and wellbeing.

Connecting with friends…

Socialising and connecting with friends or family is important when it comes to wellbeing. This is because it increases your chances of happiness and helps you with your feelings and becoming less lonely.

A Healthy diet…

Having a healthy diet is really good for your health and wellbeing. This is because your brain needs lots of nutrients to function and keep you well. A healthy diet also helps with sleeping, energy levels and your general health.

Positive mindset…

Research shows having a positive mindset benefits you massively because it decreases stress levels, lowers chances of depression, a longer life span and so much more! Also research shows if you smile, even when you’re down, it releases endorphins and put you in a good mood. So keep that smile on your face!
