Self care sunday!

Hey everyone, Happy Sunday! (however, if you’re reading this on a later date, happy whatever day it is.) Today I am doing a blog post all about self-care and why it is important to take part in it.

What is self-care? πŸ’œ

Selfcare is a variety of activities that you can do to provide good physical, mental and emotional health. This means taking care of yourself and loving you for who you are. It enables you to recharge your batteries and make your body feel better!

Why is self-care so important?

Self-care is super important for your well-being and for your hygiene. It can also relax you and can reduce stress/anxiety.

Another reason why self-care is super important is that it allows you to have a healthy and positive relationship with yourself! Some may argue that taking time to yourself is selfish, but self-care is the total opposite!

What are some examples?

  • Facemasks
  • Having a bath/shower
  • Hair masks
  • Doing your makeup
  • Painting nails
  • Doing your hair

These are just a few examples, but guess what? Self-care doesn’t just have to be about hygiene! Other things you can do are:

  • Taking a break
  • Going for a walk
  • Having a healthy diet
  • A regular sleep routine
  • Exercising
  • Having fun with friends/family
  • Meditation/ yoga

What do I tend to do?

What I tend to do when I am having a self-care session, is do it on a Sunday! I always aim to have a bath on a Sunday night ready for school! I do my hair and get all clean! Occasionally I will treat myself and do some activities I listed above.
