Hey everyone! It’s Blogmas Day no.2! Today we are looking at how to enjoy Christmas, instead of stressing! This is because Xmas can be a very stressful time when having to make everyone happy, shops being busy, and having to buy lots of presents!
So how can we help this holiday season be less stressful?…..
Being organized for Christmas is essential for not being stressed. This can include completing your Christmas shopping early, wrapping presents, making a schedule, etc. Being organized can reduce stress and you are prepared for the upcoming holiday. You may not find things because you have left it till the last minute. This will increase your stress levels.
Sticking within your budget 💵
To make Christmas less stressful, you need to stick within your budget. Unfortunately, if you go over your budget it can cause you to stress about money. I tend to make a small budget for each person and plan out roughly what I’m going to get for them.
This leads perfectly on to creating lists for Christmas! I find that creating a plan and lists is really good for my wellbeing and being able to take control of my stress. Having lists help me figure out and organize myself. I write things down such as who I’m buying for, ideas of what to get them, etc. Once you have completed this, it makes you feel really good when ticking them off.
You can also create lists of other things to do this Christmas such as; make Christmas dinner, do the shopping, visit family etc. Even Santa uses lists to remember!
Get rest! 😴
Christmas can be super tiring! This is why we need to make sure we get lots of rest, as well as being busy. If we don’t, this can result in being tired and cause you to be stressed. However, don’t get too much rest otherwise you won’t get things done!
Online Shopping 🛒
If you find overcrowded spaces stressful or prefer to be at home, then this idea is perfect for you! Have you ever considered online shopping? I prefer to do it in real life to experience what I am buying however sometimes it is easier to have it delivered to you with just one click!
Get into the Christmas spirit 🎅
If you don’t get into the Christmas spirit, things can be miserable and not fun! So come on! Get into the Christmas spirit! Jam out that Christmas playlist, put on those Christmas jumpers, and party! I also love to watch movies, have a nice hot chocolate, and visit my family.
